We GIVE in order to sponsor and produce growth and development.

We have the privilege of partnering with God’s work in the world by using our gifts and resources through the local church, the bridge. How might you “Live to Give” and participate in God’s plan for the world?

We exist to connect with God, each other and our world and we would love for you to join us in our mission. Together, we can make a bigger impact than on our own. Together we are the body of Christ. Let’s Live to Give.

Start with this ice breaker: share what the following giving statements below means to them. Consider using the whiteboard on Zoom to write out responses.

• Giving is a reflection of the heart.

• Giving is a reflection of priorities.

We GIVE in order to sponsor and produce growth and development.

Our belief is that as people choose to serve, in our church, local community, or around the world, and the impact of that service will change lives for those serving, the people they serve, and those that are witnessing.

Biblically, we are instructed to serve the body of Christ. Paul begins Romans 12 by encouraging us to serve sacrificially, out of the grace offered us in Christ Jesus. He continues by emphasizing that we need each other to represent the full body of Christ.

We are each representatives of a whole, with different gifts and abilities to contribute. In Ephesians 4, we again see instruction to serve as one body, with one Lord, one hope, and one faith. Throughout the chapter, we are reminded of the role of the church to equip the saints for the building up of the body of Christ.

Read Romans 12 or Ephesians 4 as a LifeGroup and discuss how it relates to your serving experiences.  Does it change your perspective on serving after reading the scripture?
